Hello and Happy Tuesday! Can you believe today is the last day of May? I had an extra long weekend as we were off Friday as well as Monday. So, let’s catch up!
Friday was a regular calorie day and total body workout on the carb cycling plan. Since my legs were still super sore from Wednesday’s workout, I did an all arms workout. I love working out my arms and was able to even watch TV (I did my workout at home) while I was doing it.
Friday I did stuff around the house (cleaning and such) so I didn’t have to do any over the long weekend. I ran a couple of errands as well. Friday night we went to Casual Pint and Soccer Taco to hear Tall Paul do an outdoor concert. Tall Paul has been playing since hubby and I have been in college and we love seeing him still. He will be in Knoxville quite a few times over the summer and we hope to catch him at least once a month.
Saturday was low-calorie day and rest day. I actually moved a bit more than I had planned (got all 30 minutes of exercise according to my Apple Watch).
Saturday morning hubby had a 5K, so I got up and cheered. Always love when they bring the big flag! It was a very hot and humid morning, summer has definitely arrived.
Hit up Old Navy on Saturday for a new patriotic tank top. $5! Also bought 4 other tank tops/sleeveless tops and a sleeveless dress. Guess I need to keep working the arms – looks like my shoulders will be bare the entire summer.
Sunday was regular calorie day and total body workout.
Sunday I was not feeling my best. I skipped my workout and when hubby went out to ride his bike, I went to watch (not walk or bike).
I did indulge in some cherry cobbler that evening! I cannot turn down cherry cobbler!
Monday was low carb day and sprints/cardio!
I was definitely feeling better by Monday morning. I knew if I was going to get my workout in that I had to do it EARLY. So, I woke up and was at the gym by 7:30. I did sprints and half the cardio on the elliptical, then switched to the bike for the remaining cardio.
Came home, showered and we got ready to go to Norris Dam State Park for some off roading! (love the Snapchat filters!)
We found this old cemetery while off-roading. Some of the dates were early 1900s. People obviously still visit since the flags were new and there were also some flowers on a few graves.
This is hubby’s Jeep. I really think this thing could go anywhere!
